Other routes follow most of the 441, eg, 1/x1, 410 and 413/471/472.

There's now an evening and Sunday hourly 492.495, with last journeys from birkenhead at 2250 (495) and 2320 (492).

Just a thought, when the 407 goes back Liverpool-Moreton i think it would be better doing the Town Meadow Lane loop the other way round, from Hoylake Road to Millhouse Lane, Town Meadow Lane, Bermuda Road to Hoylake Road.

I presume that the LCR have bought the EVs and Electroliners that are currently on routes in Sefton, Knowsley and South Liverpool and run out of Stagecoach Gillmoss.
What will happen if another operator gets these franchises?
Also, why were these bought such a long time before the franchises start?

I think they are LCR owned and merely leased to Stagecoach, with the lease transferring to another company if they win the Gillmoss/Green Lane franchise in place of Stagecoach.

Given that franchising was decided on around 3 years ago, the delivery dates were academic allowing for imminent/current franchising.

They will also take over Speke depot too.

Mind you, would LCRCA allow Stagecoach to have such a large share of the Franchises?
I believe there was a plan not to allow any bus operator to have more than 30% of the bus operations.

Equally it would be a massive surprise if Arriva didn’t win GL/GM!

Stagecoach losing 3 huge garages in Manchester to Metroline was a surprise in itself!

An operator can only win one of the tranche 2 lots so it’s either Green Lane AND Gillmoss or Bootle AND Southport or Speke with or without Runcorn.

Mind you, I've read that the garage Arriva are trying the hardest to keep is Speke. So, we shall have to wait and see. All good exciting stuff
