For Greg with his classic Christmas hit I Believe in Father Christmas to die in the run-up to Christmas reinded me of how tragically Kirsty MacColl, who herself had a classic Christmas hit with the Pogues Fairytale of New York, died in an accident just before Christmas 2000.

Richard Adams , The author of Watership Down has died at the age of 96.

Watership Down was first published in 1972 , i didn't realise it was that long ago.
