D&G Bus
RE: D&G Bus
If the tracking is to be believed there's a D&G Enviro and a Metrocity on High Peak routes, and a High Peak Solo on a D&G route.

RE: D&G Bus
Looks like 5002 returned to service today. High Peak Solo YJ17 FVG did spend 2 days on the 87/88 workings, but it looks like it's now returned to High Peak.

RE: D&G Bus
I've seen posted elsewhere the two regular drivers on the Congleton locals transferred from Hollinshead to D&G.

So it's same vehicles, same drivers, same fares and same timetable!

RE: D&G Bus
D&G are claiming they can't serve Tabley again from Monday due to the emergency bridge closure in Pickmere, which has been in place for months. 89 timetable revised with no Knutsford to Pickmere services. Knutsford to Northwich running direct, and a token Northwich to Pickmere service.

RE: D&G Bus
Surprised to see this new N1 service: https://bustimes.org/services/n1-northwich-greenbank

It looks like the vehicle off the 89 will run it. So why not run it as the 89 route? If it's Cheshire West funded then I don't get why they haven't specified to run it via Navigation Road and Darwin Street, to reinstate a limited service that way. GHA used to send 82s that way but changed the route due to using larger vehicles.

D&G are claiming that Firdale Road "has not had buses operating along it before" which is not true as the old Davenham, Hartford, Greenbank circular services ran down there, as well as Darwin St and Navigation Rd. There was also the Greenbank Lane circular section.

I only looked at the route in one direction initially, so I missed it's going via Firdale Road towards the town centre. I initially thought it was strange they were running additional services towards Greenbank on the same route, not including school starting/ending times (when there's the most potential demand). I seem to recall at one point Warrington Borough Transport ran a few journeys per day Warrington-Lymm-Knutsford-Lower Peover-Lach Dennis-Northwich and one morning and one afternoon journey got extended to Greenbank Lane.

I notice they also say "we have worked with Cheshire West and Chester Council and bus stops will be placed near Maple Grove, Kestrel Road and the Medical Centre". There used to be quite a number of infrequent services operating on a Hail & Ride basis in Cheshire, so not all roads with bus services had bus stops. That was the case with the 300 service in Knutsford, which was part replaced by a rerouting of the 88 when D&G withdrew the 300.
