Travel Master (MCR)
I've noticed some unbranded modern coaches have been operating the Radbrooke Hall (Barclays) work shuttles recently. The other day I saw one was carrying the legal lettering for Travel Master (MCR) and had a LED destination display fitted showing Radbrooke Hall. At one point I was wondering whether there was some arrangement with D&G, given the new 87/88 timetable only needs the 4th bus from the 08:57 to Macclesfield, and the 87s being routed via Radbrooke, but it seems that's additional to the workers only shuttles. |

RE: Travel Master (MCR)
Travel Master (MCR) is a side company of Swans Travel. They were bought out a few years ago but still operate as a company. They operate a few work shuttles around that area, I've driven them myself in the past. Usual use a mix of Swans coaches and double deckers. All services there are private contracts too, so you wont find any registrations for them, and tickets are pre-booked via an app. Hope this answers your question |

RE: Travel Master (MCR)
That particular shuttle used to be operated by Holmeswood/Walkers and prior to them Selwyns, so my post was partly an observation that the operator had changed again. Is tickets booked via an app normal for private contracts? I thought it was the responsibility of the contractor issuer (e.g. the employer or educational establishment) to deal with any passes or tickets, with the operator not being allowed to take revenue directly from passengers. |
