While they were seen on most routes that Wythenshawe operated at the time I think the only reason why Wythenshawe Depot actually had deckers in the past was due to the amount of School Services that they used to operate.

That's correct, from my understanding the only got rid of them was due to the age no longer being allowed for tendered school routes.

The 263 suffers an issue due to the capacity not being reached on a reliable basis (i.e. being very busy for 9-5 workers and school children) and when there is issues on the Altrincham Metrolink line it just cannot cope - this was occuring even pre-pandemic.

Similar to the 130 route, they invested in putting the 263 as a sapphire route (USB charging, next stop annoucements, WiFi) rather than fixing the issues caused by reduced frequency and increased congestion.

One of the Enviro300's for the 263 is currently parked at Arriva Buses Wales' Chester garage. Can't tell by the fleet code, but looks like 2741

If Metrolink services get suspended Metrolink need to arrange replacement bus services, not just say everyone needs to use the normal bus instead. A lot of people use Metrolink every day, if any bus operator had enough spare capacity on the usual scheduled services for Metrolink passengers as well they would be paying a fortune in carting fresh air around when Metrolink is operating normally.

2672 now in service here, on the 263 (although it's tracking as 2745...)

HTH

Both or just one out of the 2?

Is 2497 here? It's tracked on 247 yesterday and today. TIA.

It could just be another vehicle tracking on it's machine, I tried seeing if I could find it on Thursday (when it last tracked at Green Lane) but I wasn't successful. Regardless it will not last long at the depot considering the CAZ that is due to be introduced in May.

She's still with Green Lane depot working on the 9s today. So some bus must be going around as 2497s machine in Wythenshawe.
