Don't know why the couldn't space out the 39 and the 86 / 87 so that its every half an hour in the evening. So there would not be any competetion as such, just a better frequency for the customers!

RE: Impera Bus & Coach - wirralbus - 19/07/2012 07:50

There still using two buses on the route just more frequently between Moreton and New Brighton being half hourly instead of hourly.

Half hourly is a better frequency than hourly dont you all think ?

Yes I agree, half hourly to New Brighton better Frequency, would like to see it start and stop in Overchurch Road like the good old days rather than Moreton Cross.

Unfortunately Its a Hobby if you looking at the timings , a 2 vehicle operation can not get beyond Moreton Cross on the present timings without using another vehicle and we had this particular subject of adding extra buses into the Avon thread with regards the 122 in North Liverpool , which impinge on route viability with 3 over 2 vehicle operation of the route of an evening when most routes have less passengers .

The discussion regarding Avon Buses' 122 was different. I was suggesting that if the journey time was increased, the reliability of the service would improve. Obviously, the factors that involve extending the journey time mightn't make the service viable afterwards, which is understandable - I wouldn't expect the service to gain extra income after the changes. The current subject with Impera, if I'm correct, is that people want the service to be extended to run elsewhere. If it'd earn more income then it COULD be viable.

(What I'm getting at is that the discussions regarding Avon don't relate to the discussions regarding Impera [well, I can't see how they relate!].)

To fit Overchurch Road into the 39A the timetable would have to be tightened , while not entirely impossible to do at certain times like Sunday daytime it could get very tight with turnrounds at either end .

27701 didnt mean to confuse you , was just explaining viability issues .

Viability is something that we will not know about due to commercial confidentiality .

Saw KU02 YUH on Sir Thomas Street today, presumably on route learning for the new 30 service starting in a few weeks time.
