This new number 30 service looks brilliant, its a shame that they have already withdrawn it in September. This service should be advertised more in the local shops in Saughall Massie as I think people will be pleased to have a direct link to Liverpool. Well done Impera for trying another new route its a shame I smell a "big bus get off our patch" vibe.. I was suprised to see this also down as a half hourly evening timetable. I wonder if Impera will do a return ticket thats comparable with the train?

The alternative route from Saughall Massie fot the 30 would be to go via Upton, Claughton or Ford (beechwood) via laird street or via moreton then similar as route 18 down to laird street.

Many years ago there where a number of bus routes that went from Saughall Massie to Wallesy.

There is also no direct link from the Saughall Massie area to West Kirby which I think is odd and would in my opnion also be popular, any chance of re-routing the 39 through Saughall Massie via Overchurch Road then back onto Birkenhead Road near the Tesco Express.

Just looked at the new 39A timetable from September 10th which also is the same date that the new 30 is to be withdrawn, and its clear that when the evening 39 service stops in August the evening 30 will cover some of the route of the 39 except the new brighton part from liscard. Will this not confuse the passengers that have already started to get use to the 39?

It seems a very bizarre decision.

I really like the 30's route! i hope Impera change their minds and keep it

If I loved Impera, id be hoping they wouldnt keep the 30.. unless you want to see Arriva run them into the ground that is!

Should be good for the month it lasts though, hopefully he'll get some proper buses on it for a change.

Are they still looking to recruit drivers?

By doubling the frequency through leasowe he will already have come to the attention of Arriva , dont think they minded previously .

I think there will be people from arriva out looking at how many through passengers from Leasowe / Wallasey Village use the service to get to Liverpool to see whether an enhancement to cross river buses may be needed .

For some of the slightly less infirm people the steps at Wallasey Village Station are an impediment .

They are currently looking for drivers. How many routes do they operate and what buses?
