It missed out South Parkway, Widnes and Warrington Central: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/C80467/2017/04/08

In the early days of of the First/Kelios TPE franchise there was an 8 car 158 working from Lime Street on the last TPE service the day after Liverpool won the Champions League! It had a debranded CT livered 158 in between 2 x 3 car Northern Spirit livered 158s.

Tough on any regular punters. Certainly Ilkeston cannot take six cars.

A 153 with a 158 is a lot better than a 158 on its own , at least there is some additional seating .

RE: East Midlands Trains - T42 PVM - 19/05/2017 22:19

I think he mentioned it as it is very rare for a 153 to work this service

Are East Midlands 153's going to be modified to the new standards for disabled people or will they be reformed back into a 155 to be able to pass the new regulations .

RE: East Midlands Trains - SLTRegular - 23/05/2017 12:20

As far as im aware no company has said that 153's will be reformed

Yes but because for these 3 and the one that visited a few weeks before that it is rare for 153s at Liverpool so it certainly I would say is rare despite the recent run of units.
