156415 is probably going to be put to use on services in and around Norwich , so when it needs to go back to East Midlands Trains it can piggy-back onto a service train to Nottingham.

Personally I would say any service that Anglia use 156s on. I saw it on an Ipswich to Lowestoft service which does not go near Norwich. The only service any great distance away from the depot is Sudbury to Marks Tey which is 68 miles to the south.

There were 158 + 156 combinations on both the 1052 and 1252 LIV-NRW yesterday.

You beat me to it! I was sat at Widnes station for a hour waiting for a Manchester bound train when a 158 156 combination pulled in. It's safe to say I wasn't expecting it. I know there are a couple of 158s in for maintenance so that might explain it.
