Bidding on the next EM franchise has been postponed. DfT are currently in talks with Stagecoach over extending the existing franchise.

Next franchise to start in August 2019. Option to transfer Liverpool to Norwich (either in full or part) to TPE under consideration, as well as transferring some services from XC to EMT. MML set to get bi-mode stock.

The question over who operates the Liverpool - Norwich service is a long running one. I think if the service gets split at Nottingham, then THE would be best suited for the Western leg with possibly Greater Anglia or Cross Country on the Eastern side.

I think the Eastern leg would be Greater Anglia, as Cross Country is basically Birmingham Express.

Any idea what happened to the 15.52 Liverpool-Norwich today, 110 late and terminated South Parkway - all the references I can find just say mishap.

It failed near Edge Hill,brake release problem so no mishap.It was brought back into Lime St separately as 2 units.No mishap,no disaster,nothing to see here,move on....
