Probably cancelled between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport due to severe late running for some reason so that later services aint delayed as well , its called delay management .

according to the speaker there was no train available to do the service, it was said at 10:40 so i dont think it would be down to that

1B71 0942 Doncaster to Manchester Airport

This train was cancelled at Sheffield due to an issue with the train crew (TG)

I presume a booked relief was not available on arrival at Sheffield.

What is going to be the current state of affairs with regards the Windermere and Barrow in Furness branch services , considering the service is at present operated by Transpennine when the class 350's take over the main Manchester - Scotland service.

Will the through services be lost to a stub service terminating at Oxenholme and Lancaster respectively .

I think a 3-car shuttle is most likely.

Long term, with TPE/Northern probably being merged, I suspect a Class 153, maybe 156 in summer, will be used.

Even longer term, in the distant future, probably electrification.

Got told by a freind that several 185s may be turned into 2 car and 4 car by reshuffling the current vechiles.
