185123 is another Class 185 in the new TransPennine livery

Having seen photos I prefer the previous First TPE livery - shame it is going!

Original order was for more sets anyway but the DfT refused the amount of funding required. Then I can't quite remember whether the option for the fourth coach fell through because manufacturing for the units had ended or because funding was again refused. Either way, the DfT firmly at fault there.

Fully agreed - I don't normally rate purple liveries but the FTPE one was reasonable. The new effort is horribly amateurish and the blue and grey shades clash badly. It does look slightly better on the AT300 mock-ups, however. Glad the yellow front ends are finally on their way out; it's about time.

With 185108 being one of the units to receive the new livery it has finally lost its Capital of Culture 08 decals - over seven years after the event finished!

These new trains look quite impressive and futuristic. They certainly look like high-speed trains.

I went to Dewsbury on Easter Monday (to ride some buses in West Yorkshire) and caught the 9.11 from Piccadilly. I arrived to see that the 8.41 to Hull had just been cancelled. While occasional cancellations are inevitable, I know to take care in case I plan long-distance daytrips. I was considering travelling Manchester - Scarborough - Middlesborough bus - Stockton bus - Darlington bus - Middlesbrough on a daytrip. However, I now consider such a decision unwise if I want to use Advance rail tickets.

New livery unit 185108 is at Lime St twice today,0859-0912 then 1608-1622.

Currently onboard 185108 (13.10 off Newcastle if anyone wants it en-route) and I have to say, I really do think the livery looks excellent in person!

I agree. It looked a lot more grey when I saw it in person compared to photos of it

I also agree, Seen both 185108 and 185123 and the New Livery is miles better than the old livery.
