The timetable information for Christmas has been backtracking since Thursday last week.
We have had the information drip fed with the Summary of bus services for Christmas and New Year , followed by the bus times for Christmas Day and finally the Bus Times for Boxing Day and New Years Day.
But thats not the end Merseyrail train times havent been publicised yet for the early finishes on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve , you would have thought that the information would look better on there website all together not over a matter of days .
Sorry if im being over-critical of Merseytravel here.

There is a reason...
I spoke to someone at Merseytravel today and he said he was waiting for final confirmation of city line services which will be tomorrow. There's major engineering work during the holiday in the manchester area.
Better to put the right info out by waiting a few days.

If that is the case it would not have harmed Merseytravel to put all the information out about Christmas and New Year travel arrangements at the same time .
The late arrival of the information is going mean the hard copy will be late being published for the Merseytravel Travel Centre's . Not everybody has computer internet access yet.

The normal level of service then. Again it begs the question I ask every year, what is so special about South Liverpool and Maghull that they have evening Merseytravel services on New Years Day when everywhere else is busless. The taxi's as ever will have a field day.
Would make more sense to have a near normal Saturday service on Boxing Day and reduced Sunday service on New Years Day. New Years isn't quite as bad when you consider that the trains are normally running then.
