Did you know that you will never wait more than 120 seconds for a green man at a pedestrian crossing , even at some of the busier multi junction ones .

At standalone pedestrian crossings the button will always activate the red / green man .

On some more complex junctions , the red / green man cycle will activate automaticlly and on others it will have to be upt to the pedestrian to press the button.

It does make interesting reading.

Its the placebo effect , your seen to be doing something but it doesnt work , its the feelgood factor.
