Travelled on Tyrers 347 twice today. Both Solos were clean, cumfy & well looked after. Fares very competitive & both drivers friendly & professional. All in all well done to the company who are far better than when Stagecoach ran it.

I was under the impression the 500/501 has/had some form of funding behind it by merseytravel or the Airport itself (not sure about the 500 anymore as its spekes secret goldmine!)
The 501 is funded by Merseytravel as a direct link to the airport, the purpose of it is to replace the proposed station at the Airport after plans were axeo fir merseytram and the direct rail link. The 501 is therefore the only service that gives LSP its "Airport link" status and thus is not a candidate to be withdrawn.

The 500 doesnt get any funding anymore, but the 501 does from the Airport and Merseytravel.

So this has confirms rumours I had heard that HTL had won these routes. Will be interesting to see if they retain the 36/141.
