21105 was up on the lift in the shed, suggesting its days in service are now over
21148 was parked in the same place in the yard as it was on Saturday (by the shed entrance)
Also in the shed were 21143 22541 and 22637

With some of the 21000-series Volvo B10BLEs no longer in service, I timed my trip well to ride ALX300 and Prestige examples back in July. Admittedly Enviro300s are quite classy, and I prefer them to MAN-Enviro300s, possibly because of the sloped area above the wheel.

Assumed to be no longer in service - the transfer of 22541-4 from Slatyford to Walkergate, the reinstating of 33491/2 but the lost of 36464/5/8 to Paralympic duties in London and 36472/5 to East Kent at Hastings means that, in effect, all the B10BLEs should still be out in service or as spare in the depot. My sighting of 21105 on the lift could just have been a check-up, considering it had a new engine fitted only a few months ago (only returned to service in May after being off road for about six months or so) shouldn't be a major problem.

EDIT: Sorry, 36467 is NOT in London, an oversight in my part for not checking which ones I photo'd the other day.

RE: Stagecoach North East - kuyoyo - 03/09/2012 22:09

Despite what I previous speculated a few weeks ago regarding Stockton's B10BLEs being withdrawn after the changes yesterday, all 3 remain in service. 21104 was on the 13, while 21144/50 were both on the 35 as normal.

The changes offically came into effect today (only change to come into effect yesterday was the 12), and as such the interworking in South Middlesbrough have been changed:

11 now stand-alone for the majority of the day, peak time interworking is currently unknown
12s leaving Middlesbrough at 11, 31 and 51 now interworking with the 34s that previously interworked with the 11
The other 3 12s an hour (01 21 41) now interwork with the 14s and the 34s than previously interworked with the 14. From today, the pattern (starting with the 34) goes 34 14 12 14 12 14 12 then the cycle resumes.
As stated above, the peak time interworking is completely different and as yet isn't known (or even easy to work out)

24111 spent the day on the 13 today, while 24102 reappeared in service this afternoon on the 52/58 presumably replacing an Olympian ready for schools.

And a rare appearance this afternoon - 16839 on the 36 replacing a broken Enviro300, what's rare about this is that it was on the working that is supposed to finish at James Cook Hospital at 1924 as the 36A, plainly unless something else was send out to replace it in Hartlepool, there was no 36A tonight.

I eventually photoed 21101 today! - http://www.flickr.com/photos/spd17/7930373050/in/photostream

Olympian 16838 was used early this afternoon on the 38, presumably covering a breakdown. It was replaced somewhere between Norton Glebe and Stockton by 22465. Also on the 38 today (not sure if this was out all day or out as a changeover) was Enviro300 24113.

After 21144's appearance on the 52 yesterday, it appeared on there again as was sister 21104. It appears this may be a regular allocation now, with their days in service being numbered.

Indeed, the days in service for South Shields' examples may now be in sight. I understand that the Enviro200s down in London (36464/5/8) are now parked up, minus Stagecoach Events UK Operations licenses ready for a return home. Likewise, I understand the 2 in Hastings should also be on their way back very shortly, the 'Hasting Arrows' Enviro200s they allowed to move to London are also parked up ready to head home.

There should be 3 in Hastings, 36471/2/5 - due to be replaced imminently by the Hastings Arrows buses heading home (36496/505 were parked up earlier, minus any Olympics stuff onboard... presumably due to be joined by 36499 later tonight)

RE: Stagecoach North East - kuyoyo - 06/09/2012 18:45

For the second day running, an Enviro300 has appeared on the 38 - today being the turn of 24111 as a replacement for another vehicle. However, unlike yesterday, when it as on the 38 duty that finishes in Middlesbrough at half 6 as a short 37 from Park End, 24111 will, in theory, currently be in Trimdon Avenue operating the first full 610 of the evening (unless there's some madness, it should be taken off before 2120 at which time it is due to do a 611).

Next Saturday, does anyone know if any B10BLE's will be in service?

All depends on how many Enviro300s are back - would hazard a guess that at least 1 will still be in service at South Shields to cover 27736, all 5 of Walkergate's unless something else is found to work the X63, and obliviously 21104/44/50 at Stockton depot.

So mabye it would be better for me to visit South Shields this week rather than next week? - Also, is 21105 in service?
