Interesting quote from there
'Phil Medlicott, Stagecoach North-East managing director, said the company was committed to further improvement, with £6m plans to introduce 38 new buses in Sunderland and five further vehicles in Stockton.

Make of that what you will.

Moving on to today, 16831/3 were on the 13, 16834/9 were on the 35, 16835 on the 52 and 16836 on the 11. 17026 started the day on 58s but was swapped onto the 52 after the second driver to do that working isn't yet type trained on them, while 17027 was allocated to the all night 11 working, which starts as a 34 at half 8. 17032 was again used on type training.

I'd say buses for the 37, someone said a while ago that the 37 brand was going to be stopped, you never know, could just be on about the alx400's!

Wouldn't be about the Tridents - considering there are 10 of them and they certainly aren't 'new' in the sense of 'new' (new to Stockton but not brand new).

RE: Stagecoach North East - rachel - 09/08/2013 21:58

We've only just found out about them! How are we to know what they are?

It was a little joke! Anyway, it's a very interesting news flash!

I'm assuming they will be brand new, because if they weren't it would probably say 'newer' buses for Stockton and Newcastle (with the 54plate dennis darts transferring)

RE: Stagecoach North East - Tango - 09/08/2013 23:59

Sounds to me like the five new vehicles could well be for the 37 displacing 22061-66 into the "normal" vehicle pool at Stockton which could then maybe see the first alx300 mans withdrawn most likely the s-reg examples 22451/2/4/5/6, the numbers certainly add up

RE: Stagecoach North East - Tango - 10/08/2013 08:28

And maybe a couple of the newer darts mentioned from Newcastle could see the last of the b10ble's off 21104/41/50, all just speculation of course :-)

RE: Stagecoach North East - mbonwick - 10/08/2013 11:27

Officially the B10BLEs are in reserve anyway, so they won't be getting replaced on paper.
