A couple of the 09 Enviros must be off the road as there was an 55 plate Trident on there as well.

More likely Preston's diagramming was up to its usual standard!

Hi - Can I use the NW Explorer North East tickets on Reays service 55 and Travellers Choice service 618?

RE: Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire - mbonwick - 26/07/2012 18:33

No.

Why would a Stagecoach ticket be valid on a competign operator (Reays) or a totally unconnected one (Traveller's Choice).

Which is a Stagecoach ticket.

RE: Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire - W179 SCU - 26/07/2012 20:14

How much is a single from Windermere to Ambleside on the 618, and a single from Ambleside to Keswick on service 55?

How the heck would we know? Do I (or any other member) look like a walking fares manual?

In the Westmorland Gazette

Stagecoach will continue to run 'many' Lake District services without subsidy

Bus company Stagecoach has confirmed its Kendal, Barrow and Penrith depots will continue to run 'many' of its Cumbria County Council contracted services from September without subsidy.

A spokesman for the firm said a revised timetable was being introduced for the services – and the new Barrow to Kendal service would also include Windermere and be operated by mostly new buses.

"Having built up these services over the years, with improvements to efficiency, this enables us to continue running these routes without the need for subsidy," said a spokesman.

Stagecoach will also launch a new ticket for home to school travel on the local bus network at £380 for the year, reducing the cost of the school run and encouraging bus usage.

Services being retained are: X35 Barrow-Kendal (re-numbered X6); 41, 41A, 42, 42A, 43, 45 and 46 Kendal town services; 108 Penrith-Patterdale; 735 Barrow-Kendal; 551/552 Kendal-Arnside; 505 Ambleside-Conis-ton; 567 Kendal-Kirkby Lonsdale; 516 Ambl-eside-Dungeon Ghyll; 530 Kendal - Cartmel.

I do not think such a ticket exists.

Why the question? Anything to do with BBC Radio Cumbria last week when a BBC Radio Cumbria reporter went for a day out on the buses from Workington?
