I had it again, and it kept stalling at the lights on my 571. And today, it was obviously in difficulties going ever so slow, and holding up the traffic behind it for quite some way. Sister bus 31919 was broken Down in Bury on Monday morning rush hour. So nothing wrong with it, i beg to differ Wave

I was on 31920 on the 571 today, and it was perfectly fine. It had a perfect idle, it had no gear problems, and it was also very fast! Smile Exactly the same it was as it was on the three times in July that I got on it. It must have been having a funny phase when you went on it lol. :P

Hello Thomas, I've been waiting on you to post, I knew you would, I saw 31920 earlier in Bolton, :P

Yes ok it sounds alright today, but so did 40405 last week, but still it broke down three times in a week,
Point is Engineers fix it, then usage and service makes these old boys detoriate. Now ok some Arrows are seamless and go on and on, same as the darts. But my point is obviously Bolton Engineers have sorted it out for now, and it sounds good for now, but emphasis is for now. After all it along with the other p reg arrows, makes it odds on to be withdrawn very very soon, for now I'll watch this space.Wave

As you say it must have been having a funny day when I was on it
Lol

Haha Big Grin I can see all P-reg ones going by September, with the other ones surviving until Christmas maybe. I thought that they'd all get withdrawn by the start of 2012 but I was more than wrong there LOL! 31932 is a bit like that too with being fine one minute then being messed up, it really is a strange machine that one! XD

Bury Depot Paint cover Loan vehicles begin to arrive

66887 from Wigan seen today doing the 469 route.

RE: First Manchester - thomasl1231 - 04/08/2012 08:11

66926 is now back at Wigan, I've just seen it leave Wigan Bus Station on the 658. Smile There are also some strange allocations going on out and about in and near Wigan today, including 31930 on early 600s (it arrived on the 8AMish 600 to Leigh in Golborne), 60391, 60393 and 60396 all on the 32, and also with:

31926 - 631/2.
31928 - I don't know what it's on, but it's out.
31930 - 600.
31932 - 610.
31934 - 621/8.
31938 - 631/2.
31941 - 610.
31947 - 621/8.

I've heard that it's gone there because 30803 has been in a bit of an accident. :P However, whether it's actually been in an accident or not though is a different matter, I don't 100% trust the source that I got the information off.

Hi Thomas,

Just had lovely arrow 31920 on the 571, sounded good, except next time your on, sit on the back seat, and listen to the engine. I know this is going to sound sad, but it sounded like someone was shaking coffee beans upLOL

Also on the subject of 30803 don't know how much you're source of info checks his info, but 30802,3 and 4 have all been on 471 duties today. As Bury are very short on buses due to the B9s being repainted

If 30803 was involved in a prang it's not been enough to keep it off road according to reported info

Oh deary me. The person that posted that on the GMBuses group is the same one that told me that 66887 was at Bury (quote) 'due to 30803 been damaged'. Conflicting information from the same person, who me and a load of other people know that he has a bit of a reputation for bullsh*tting. I won't be listening to him in future! :P
