All the 508s will be gone by the year end, along with some 507s. Those that are left should be able to continue right to the end, but if any develops an uneconomic fault, it will probably be withdrawn. So it’s not easy to say which will be kept for the Southport line.

As it stands there is now only 777's on some of the ormskirk line services , with 507/8 operation restored to the Kirkby service .

777s are returning to both the Kirkby and Ormskirk lines.
Yesterday was the first day in service for 777014 on the Kirkby line.
777012 has been noted stabled at New Brighton.

The Kirkby and Ormskirk lines should be 777s from Sunday 28 May but it’ll be ad hoc until the 777 availability gets better.
