507010 has developed a whining noise similar to the MK3's in the bogies, anyone know what this is?

RE: Merseyrail - MX12CFE - 17/07/2012 11:08

Any sign of 507002 coming out to play yet?

RE: Merseyrail - MX12CFE - 24/07/2012 06:34

Had 508141 on first ormskirk train this morning and there was a strong burning smell coming from it?

It was 507020 that caught fire i was a passenger on it at the time it was frightening when it went up if you look carefully it still bears a scorch mark from it.

Apologies if I've missed it but since when was the Chester line upgraded to 70mph running? Thought we were whizzing along and sure enough, when I passed the PSR board it read 70!

The unit in question should never be sent out in that state , its just promoting the graffiti artists work and acts as an advertisement to say to graffiti artists around the country that the company is a soft touch . Im sorry if i sound a bit hardline there .

RE: Merseyrail - MX12CFE - 01/08/2012 06:37

508104 has suffered a graffiti attack at the hands of the RSK crew all down the side of one of the driving cars it was working the 06:15 6 car service to ormskirk this morning with 507033.

In the wirral borough council legal notices today , it looks like the piece of land on the approach to Bidston Station is going to pass from Wirral Borough Council ownership to Merseytravel.

Wonder whether this is for the often mooted Car park that merseytravel wants to put in at this location.

If Merseytravel gets this piece of land , then there will be plenty of car parking spaces with car parks at Hoylake , Leasowe , Wallasey Gve Rd and Birkenhead North , smaller car parks at other locations not noted .
