CA07 GHA, Volvo B7RLE / Plaxton Centro is now operating from the Shrewsbury depot, noted on the 13:35 ex Shrewsbury to Bridgnorth turn. First of the type noted here since the ex Bryn Melyn pair moved for use at Tarvin.

Could someone please explain to me how GHA can afford to run the 9 and X9? Every time I see one it's always empty except for one time I've been on the X9 and the odd occasion there's 2 or 3 OAPs on the 9, all of which presumably have bus passes.

Saw this Tuesday going South on the A5 (Not in Service) at Oswestry and did wonder if it was Shrewsbury bound.

Out if interest went for a trip on P604 CAY on the X52 today and it seems that the X52 is hourly today, is this now the norm or is this service slipping too?

RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others) - DK09 GXY - 24/06/2016 15:12

It's normally hourly Smile

RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others) - Depotosw - 24/06/2016 15:28

The X52 is typically a 30 minute service weekdays between 10:00 and 15:00 on a weekday with a hourly through service to Wrexham as the X50.

Good to hear P604 CAY is around, assume doing what K130 DAO had been doing previously?

Anyone know today which is the blue, green & white solo running the sun 130 duty?

Old optare that looked to be on an 06 plate.

It would be CN06BXS - photo -

There are only two Solo's in this livery in the fleet and the other S903DUB has been withdrawn in Ruabon for a while.

Cheers for that, looks good for its age! Unusual livery though not mad keen on that.

Bidding is currently underway for the new 289 and 10A contracts in Cheshire East. Interesting to note the new 289 contract will require a bus with at least 35 seats, meaning it won't be possible to use a standard Solo or 8.8m Dart, which are the only two type of buses I've ever seen GHA use on it since they won the contract from Swans (who usually used a small Enviro 200.) GHA were the only operator to bid for the 10A last time after D&G (who had acquired the route via the acquisition of Bakerbus) decided not to try and retain the contract.

Afternoon folks. I'm heading to the llangolen railway on tues (5th) & wanted to ask the couple of questions about GHAs #5 service:

*It says on the timetable it picks up from ruabon station, is this right outside I.E. The train station front/forecourt???

*Also where abouts in llangolen can I jump off for the railway? Says parade st is the terminus/pick up point so need know where get on & off.

*Day saver prices, also how much for a dog?

Thanks
