Oh right I see, thanks.

I joke of course, however it is a temporary resident for all of a day! Picked up this morning, me, Jordan (J654) and owner of 6592 2122 etc Mr Rowlands have been working hard in cleaning the vehicle up ready to represent Arriva at the annual Bus Driver of the Year event in Blackpool this weekend. The bus is now spotless, with the exterior washed waxed and polished, the interior brushed hoovered scrubbed and polished, it will certainly look the part! Heres a picture before the exterior was waxed and polished (Yes it does look even better now!)

Am sure in many years to come there will be one of these in the collection!

They usually send up a Pulsar alongside 2800 every year, don't they?

Put a white stripe on the front of it whilst you've got it! LOL

Bootle's 3027 (MX59 JJO) SB200/Pulsar2 (originally from Skem) won the Best Presented Bus Award at this event at Blackpool in 2010 (the notice is still on display inside).

C'mon lads! I'm sure you can make it a doubleWink
Good luck!

Didn't 3072 win 2011s prize for best presented bus with 2800 in second? Or was it the other way around?

RE: North West Vehicle Restoration Trust (NWVRT) - K853 MTJ - 08/09/2012 15:57

Will have been the other way around, think it was said 2800 won best presented bus for the past 5 years, fingers crossed 3137 will follow in it's foot steps! Happily it seems I'll be there to witness what I'm sure will be 3137s first award of many in that category tomorrow!

RE: North West Vehicle Restoration Trust (NWVRT) - CX54 DKD - 08/09/2012 15:59

Can anyone confirm either way whether 2800 is heading down alongside 3137 this year?

We've said this all weekend while it's been here to play, it seems this is the new regular bus in place of 2800 so it is set to become group pet from now on :P

Correct BBB, 2800 has been stood down, apparently been the oldest bus there every year, yet still been the best presented. Just the one bus has gone up this year, that obviously being 3137, which left for Blackpool today looking truly immaculate!

Wouldn't dream of it mate, looks better without the stripe I think :P Was nice having something different in the yard though I have to say. It might 'only' be a Pulsar but it's different when you have one out to play so to speak, only then can you appreciate it's comfort, it's modern features and see how it compares to the likes of 6592, a Pulsar of it's day!

Cheers for that info Danny.
