It appears Scania 5309 has gone on a MBC local tour this weekend, saw some photos of it on Facebook and it looks good. I think it's the first time it's been out since Bus & Tram?

the owner does like to turn up and take it for a run every now and again, and it does occasionaly go down to Helms / ACL but I think its the first time its been in proper use since then yes - somebody did say it was going to a rally in manchester a month or 2 ago, but in the end i think they took something else - probably because its a scania and theyre not exactly the cheapest fuel wise!

The majority of that is pretty much wrong if I may say so.
5309 was indeed used on an MBC tour which visited Port Sunlight and NWMoRT.
The bus hasnt left Kirkby since bus and tram IIRC and has only visited Helms in the past for maintenance to take place. AFAIK theres no plans for it to visit any events just yet, however it is early in the year and well just wait and see for now. The current priority is working on the currwnt fleet, particularly Lynx 654, in preparation for the next rally season.
While Im here I may as well report that Olympian 0238 passed its MOT on friday and is hopefully set to get out and about this year!

Well its not exactly wrong.. the owner has just turned up in the past, gone for a quick run around the block and back... whether they actually had or not is another matter. Of course nobody would know unless they lived up there 24/7.

There is a picture on facebook of 5309 parked in Dale Street on Sunday, so it did go out for a bit. Brian O'Doherty is the person that has posted it.

5309 was used on an MBC tour on Sunday which visited Port Sunlight and NWMoRT and stopped in Liverpool for dinner at Rigbys hence why Brian has uploaded that pic

Looking like a good Easter Weekend as MTT have their mini running day penciled in for Easter Sunday.
