They have the same engine but with a few mods, a newer gearbox is also fitted with different ratios, and a new style exhaust making them sound slightly different.

Also with the new Pulsars, unless the Handbreak is applied when the vehicle stops at bus stops, the alarm will go off once the doors open, which can be annoying.

2411 left yesterday for Green Lane around 3 pm, the only one left in the old colors with the old style swoop. I popped open a bottle of bubbly to celebrate it's departure Wink

Not forgetting the five orange marker lights along the skirting, the low-set rear number plate, the seven (yes SEVEN) emergency exits and the fire hammers fitted in the ceiling above every emergency window exitWink

It already was, read a comment on Flickr that it was sent back to LS due to snapped fanbelt housing. Not sure whether that's true or not, and credit to whoever posted that comment!

2344 came back to get work done. GL had the cheek to refuse it, unless work was done! 2452 visited today.

But surely if something broke on it's first day in service at GL it's Birkenhead's responsibility to fix it?

RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - MPTE1955 - 06/11/2012 20:26

I don't see how GL had a cheek to send it back, with it only lasting a day it is Birkenheads job to fix it.

Its Not like darts are a new bus to GL so really they should of fixed it them selves. Yeah ok it only lasted a day but it was green lanes so they should of fixed it them selves.
