Loads of Vision Drivers are ex Diamond and are going mad, Fair few already contacted Go North West for a Job there instead RE: Manchester bus franchising - Mayneway - 24/12/2022 15:11 (24/12/2022 13:59)T42 PVM Wrote: Loads of Vision Drivers are ex Diamond and are going mad, Fair few already contacted Go North West for a Job there instead Yes I believe so. I find it pretty disappointing diamond have actually won anything given their attempts to overturn the franchising model in Manchester and with their poor track record regarding services etc. RE: Manchester bus franchising - Mayneway - 24/12/2022 15:15 (24/12/2022 12:52)CX06 BHE Wrote: Thought with Vision being in Bolton it would been GNW they Tupe'd over to as surly GNW got Bolton Contracts which is Vision Bus main area The way the contracts are broken down it looks like GNW might get one or two but the majority of Visions work will pass to Diamond under the ‘smaller contracts’ banner. A letter put out by Bob Dunn yesterday suggests land has been acquired in Eccles and a new purpose built depot will be built and will house around 100 buses. The contracts they have won from September are 85 buses worth apparently. Presumably this will incorporate the current Eccles work and drivers. I can honestly see them struggle to recruit and retain staff. I expect a mass exodus in the next few months. RE: Manchester bus franchising - Metroline1511 - 24/12/2022 17:02 The idea that 7 out of 9 or 11 small franchises have been won by Rotala Diamond still leaves ambiguity as to who has won the remaining small franchises. Plus, even assuming there are no immediate route changes, we do not know which routes are part of which franchise. RE: Manchester bus franchising - Mrboo - 24/12/2022 17:37 There has been a post on FB from someone who has seen a letter from DNW about what going to Eccles. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10159522769575863&set=a.416511140862 RE: Manchester bus franchising - moreton407 - 24/12/2022 21:43 With smaller operators work going to bigger companies in the franchising, do the smaller companies just close down?
