The viability of the Conway Valley line must now be marginal , everytime it chucks it down in the mountains , this service seems to suffer repeated washouts

Here's an article about class 230.

But are they introducing new fares or are they presuming everyone will pay fares calculated via Warrington?

Five Class 153s have transferred here from GWR - these are 153325/329, 153333 and 153361/369

I was checking fares (anytime day return ticket) for example on 3rd June 2019. If you travel to Liverpool on Merseyrail, you have to pay £7.80. If you decided to travel to Liverpool on Tranport for Wales via Runcorn, then you have to pay £12.60.

I think the £12.60 fare is the via Warrington as referred to by knutstransport previously.

This surely can't end well. The amount of people who don't understand the high level and low level platforms and those at Chester who just run for a Liverpool train ...

Merseyrail is even cheaper than the prices noted above off peak. It's something about £5 which is a day ticket.

This should be an important link for using Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Requires a 'bus plus' addition to use the transfer by Arriva 500 or 86A to the airport.
Pity the timetable doesn't cover the early morning first wave departures (6am onwards).

Will these FIVE class 153s replace some of the class 150?
