On Saturdays, Go for the 84's

Monday - Friday, with the new timetable, it's hard to tell! There is now decker duty's on EVERY Route as the 31 works with the 37A and the 31A works with the 37. The 29 usually has 2/3 Deckers on it too!

It is taxed until the end of August, MOT due in mid September.
It could go at anytime if there is something better to replace it, it has a catastrophic / expensive failure or has an RTA!

I found out off a macc driver on sat that optares are sometimes used during the day. Reason for this being that if either 4490/91 has broken down or needs servicing then they've no spare decker to replace it, macc did have 4042 but this has been nicked bk by winsford as they have more need for em. Still it'd make sense for macc to have a spare decker.

There will be 2 DLA's spare at st helens what they can have but need m.o.t on them.

It'd make sense, all depends how busy the 38s get in daytime tbh. Just a ballache that there's no spare decker at macc now as winsford have it.

I have been doing service review this morning on the 84 and there were 2 Centro's on the Chester,

They seem to be more common now with the service revision last week

Winsford should have the right amount of deckers when the DLA's are replaced, 4042 is only at Winsford because of the reliability of some of them (S250 JUA) for example, means that that particular one had to be withdrew.

There's a good chance you'll catch 3615 on 84 shorts, also anyone know why the geminis seem to suffer with reliability they break down least every few weeks with some prob or another.

None of the drivers have much good to say about arriva Winsford or its buses, it seems, they say the DLAs are slow, cold & always braking down.
This mornin one told me that on Saturday night 3615 broke down in Macclesfield on the 38 and that earlier 4074 had to be taken off a Chester at Tarporley because it would only do 25 mile an hour flatout and the bus behind caught it up. Also on Saturday afternoon I saw 4061 being towed along the industrial estate towards the depot.
