So much for using class 92's on a regular basis , the bosses at Caledonian Sleeper can not really be very happy about the situation caused by there locomotive supplier .

RE: Caledonian Sleeper - childwallblues - 09/09/2015 06:16

The first two nights of this week has seen the four sleepers totally Class 90 operated. 90044 90045 and 90047 from Freightliner with 90035 from DB Schencker.

Due to the problems with the bridge at Lamington the Caledonian sleepers are currently being diverted via the East Coast Main Line.
As the West Coast route north of Gretna Junction will not re-open before February GBRf are planning to use pairs of Class 47s between Carlisle and Glasgow/Mossend with the sleepers reverting to the WCML.

Have Caledonian sleeper come up with a plan for the services that will be operating to Oban rather than Fort William in February.

Most of there loco's they use in Scotland are RA6 and the Oban line is RA5.
