RE: Halton Transport - Raawwwrrr! - 16/01/2014 19:58

Today whilst on enviro #15, I noticed a drivers waybill on the floor.
Apparently "bus 71" was used on a service between 8.08 and 8.52am, and made just over £23 in fares.

This either suggests that the ticket machine from #71 is now in #15, or that #71 has been reinstated and used on what would seem to be a Riverside College/School service judging by the time of day (likely a 41,43,47 or 48).

Is "71" a "v reg" marshall as there was one being used on the 17/17A this week.

71 is 'T' reg, 72-74 are "V" reg. I've not seen 73 lately but 74 has been stretching it's legs

I thought 71 was too old for school/college contracts?

It is too old for Merseytravel contracts such as the ones in Liverpool and St Helens (666 and 687 for example), but fine for use on services such as the 38 or the Riverside College runs

One of the Solos was on the 14 this evening - I saw it at Belle Vale heading to Liverpool at 18 10. Couldn't ID it but it looked like an old No.26 fleet number on the rear side panel!

RE: Halton Transport - Fox - 28/01/2014 16:25

#20 is back on its old haunt of the 26A much to my delight!

Halton Transport have apparently got two Bluebird orion's for the 200 in Runcorn.
These are black unlike the pink one seen onloan and used on the 26 last year.

You can see a photo of an Orion on the 200 on the RHS of http://www.haltontransport.co.uk/
It's pretty bland compared with the standard HT livery, but then such an 'old school' livery probably wouldn't suit this kind of vehicle and make them look even weirder than they already do!

The timetable for the 200 is here:

EDIT: Well credit to HT for updating the maps section of their website!
Some small errors on the Council-provided maps (e.g. not the unfortunate withdrawal of the N5), but then again that's not exactly HT's fault!

Anyway, let's hope the 200 is successful! =)

I wonder which fleet numbers will become regulars on this new Service 10... https://www.tan.gov.uk/tanen/vosa_selfservicebusroutesview.asp?txtLicenceId=99722&txtLicenceNo=PC0001376&cboRegNoFilter=PC0001376/136 ??
