That is correct, or was the case around 2003

and here is the timetable: http://havant-travel.info/xephos.php?template=havant:timetable&table=JN027&jl=full&show=all

That's a great website, even if much of the information is out of date: not come across it before.

The other side of the old 27 can be found with the 26 timetable, given service number 27c (though I've never seen '27c' anywhere else before -- just 27):

I accidentally found it last year, ironically getting information about where the 27 finished as I was unsure.

It is bizarrely a great website for enthusiasts, locally "Arriva Merseyside" and "Halton Transport" brings back a variety of results, most of the information being from 1998-2007

Saw #14 broke down (by the looks of it) on Lunts Heath Road, just outside the Lunts Heath Garage. It was bound for Cronton, presumably on the 26A.

This was at 1.45pm this afternoon.

Just to confirm it was infact broken down on the 26a. I heard from word of mouth it had overheated. It was parked in the main shed this morning when i passed by.

Halton have recieved 3 more solos from Blackpool. They are V273/4/6 HEC

RE: Halton Transport - RSTurbo50 - 27/07/2013 15:02

They must be happy with them then if that's the case...

I imagine the plan is to convert the 2 to being fully Solo operated, and to sell some of the larger vehicles unfortunately.
The Solos would be perfect for the 17(a), but probably wouldn't be big enough for the 14's they interwork with, though I know that this has happened on the odd occasion.

Out of interest what's the difference between 14 and 14a?
