I just feel that somebody needs to go in and transform the place. Honestly, its like going back 40 years at Halton and the morale amongst drivers is not great. Have you seen the canteen? Its a hole in the wall..

I sincerely hope these Solos are refurbished and given modern interiors like the MCVs and Enviro200s. I refuse to ride one otherwise. I even minimised my Blackpool bus rides in October as I so dislike this moquette.

Its standard in older Halton Darts so I reckon itll just be left, they didnt retrim the Darts that wered reinstated last year and they arent in the best of states on the inside.

Im curious to know what the fleet numbers will be. I highly doubt they be 17-19 as they will more then likely be reserved for new buses. Im thinking they will add on from 54 so they will be 55,56,57. Thoughts?

I was wondering that too. I also doubt they'd add on to their fleet numbers in terms of 80,81,82 etc. so to me, 55-57 sounds about right. Whether Halton Transport do that or not though remains to be seen! :-)

May also be interesting to note that "Halton Transport News" flyers have started appearing at bus stops along the new 26/A route up at Cronton - confirming the usage of the minibuses for the service (probably doesn't come as a suprise to most of us :P) along with some other info. May have been up for a week or so, but I just noticed them today and thought I'd share :-)

I took one of these notices from a bus stop en-route and it was replaced within the 3 hours of my return, Fastest i've ever seen halton council ammend timetables! (usually they dont bother such as the ASDA Simms Cross stop)

1 solo was on the pits today with the other 2 inside the building
