This service is tendered therefore it doesn't matter how many people it takes.

Are you sure? The Operator Licensing website says it's not supported by subsidies.

(I'm aware that "supported" and "tendered" aren't precisely synonymous, but I thought tendered services always said "Yes" in that field.)

According to an FOI reply from Halton BC regarding funded services, the 27 is on the list.

Ah OK, hadn't realised that.

10,230 passengers per month works out by my calculations at about 22 per round trip on average.

This is what I was saying a while ago about it being the busiest tendered service in Halton. Very busy I would say compared to other services. If Stagecoach worked out the X5 a little bit differently, they could have the Halton View section which would mean it couldn't be funded and they would then be guaranteed the passengers who used the 27. It would just help a little bit while the service gets up and running.

There is no need to be like that. I was talking to Quackdave and RSTurbo50. If you don't like what I post, I ask that you scroll past or block my profile. Many thanks, Mark

Quite right. I, for one, find this of interest. I'm probably not alone.

I Found Mark’s information interesting

I was under the impression that the evening service on route 27 was funded.
Apologies to anyone who might not care about this post either, but be aware that I also don't care about some of the things that others post (e.g. which fleet numbers are at which depot) - many of us are just interested in different aspects of the bus industry.
It would be very easy for anyone to say 'Why would anyone care about buses?' at all, and yet for whatever reason we do.
