4073 was actually supposed to be 3971 and presumably with 4065 being 3972. But i think they will just retain there 4*** Series numbers now!

3990 was 4073
3991 was 4158
3992 was 4065
3993 was 4042
3994 was 4156
Looks like they are staying the same. I will enquire.

If the assumption they're not changing fleet number is based upon those photos, could it not quite simply be that 4073's old fleet number has yet to be removed and replaced?
The FN on 4073 is certainly in the same place as it was prior to repaint and it's area beneath the windscreen has always been black. T305 FGN (previously 4065) has a plain black front beneath the windscreen as that area was previously painted aquamarine.

Why Start at 4555? why leave a gap after 4535 im not saying your wrong but seems really pointless to leave a gap there for nothing, i think it will be 4536 and so on as the B5LH's are the last new deckers into the fleet which finish at 4535 so they will just carry on, but thats my opinion

Maybe there is a gap for the other Enviro400s on order for the North West?

Actually yes There is 28 on Order for North West (9 Southport and 19 Speke) so 4536-4554 = Speke, 4555-4574 = Rhyl, 4575-4583 = Southport, i take that back then because that actually works out

Confirmed, fleet numbers start at 4536.
