I liked the lists too, as not just for the website, but it made working out which timetables were about to change much easier than now, when you either have to already work it on from VOSA (then search every very days for the relevant timetable changes) or wait until the Merseytravel News Updates are published then find them!

So is the 274 withdrawn then or am I missing something?

Really not sure, it is shown on the current timetable still but no word as to what happens to that from 24th December!
Even if there isn't a change on 274, a new timetable will need to be printed though as currently it is in the same one as the 272, and the 272 part of it won't be correct from 24th December!

Travel News Update
Planned changes between 16 – 22 December 2012

The following services are changing on 16 December:
1A (Birkenhead – New Brighton)
This new Monday to Saturday daytime service will be introduced by Impera. Running every 30 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes, the service will link Birkenhead Bus Station with Woodside, Seacombe and New Brighton.
39/39A (New Brighton – West Kirby)
Route 39A will be withdrawn, so all evening and all Sunday buses are withdrawn.
The times will change. Buses will be rerouted to serve Town Meadow and will run via Magazine Lane in New Brighton, instead of a part of Rowson Street.
One Monday to Friday morning and one Monday to Friday afternoon bus will be renumbered X39 - these buses will extend to start or finish at Calday Grange Grammar School in Caldy.
603 (Newton – Ashton Heath)
The times will be changed.

In regard to Boxing Day/New Years Day running the Merseytravel guide is correct, the only HTL services that will run Boxing Day will be routes 209/259, 102 & 17B. New Years Day will be the same, but with the addition of routes 166/188 also running.

79/79D (Liverpool - Netherley/Halewood)
The buses which run between Liverpool and Belle Vale are extended to run between Liverpool and Netherley.
The times are changed.
(This means that buses no longer serve the bus stops within Belle Vale Shopping Centre - all Route 79 and 79D buses now stop on Childwall Valley Road.)

350/210/241/250 (Liverpool - Maghull (Ashworth Hospital))
Route 210: the service is now operated for Merseytravel by ACE Travel.
Route 241: the service is rerouted in the Maghull area to operate along the same roads as Route 250. The service is now operated for Merseytravel by ACE Travel.
Route 250: the 0752 Saturday morning bus from Liverpool to Maghull is withdrawn. Monday to Saturday evening and all Sunday buses are now operated for Merseytravel by ACE Travel.
Route 350: a new 0640 Monday to Friday morning bus from Liverpool to Maghull is introduced.
