No traffic "regulator" at Kirkby Civic Centre today. So 3 Stagecoach buses were having a hilarious time "blocking in" the HTL 227 to Huyton, making him quite late! Often seems to be the "Law Of The Jungle" at Kirkby these days.......
i was in the Lake District today seen a few stagecoach buses. 11081,16294 (open topers)-599 bowness service. double deck Alexanders 18354 and 18360 on the 555. 18354 looked good with the Peter Rabbit advert all over it. i also seen a marshall dart on a 505 service and a few other double deckers in Grassmere and Ambleside.
Fleetwood outstation is taking delivery of a bstch of Optare Versas. 25226/7/30/1/2 are known to be some. These will operate on route 84 Fleetwood to Blackpool.
What I wish Stagecoach would do import 7 Volvo Olympians for the 217/227 (or 92/92A if I had my way), and replace the remaining Volvo B10Ms with (not necessarily the newest) low floor single deckers. This would leave Stagecoach Merseyside with a mostly lf fleet. The ex-Rapsons operations could take the B10Ms in the far north of Scotland. Och Aye!
