Had it on good information and on the Busworks website that Merseyside PTE Leyland National 7000 (new as 1000) OHF 858S is about to embark on a major restoration at the Lancastrian Transport Trust's BusWorks facility in Blackpool.
This quintessensially Southport busis having 35,000 quid invested in it to return it to its' former glory in "as new" condition by a certain Merseyside operator and enthusiast.
All I can say is thank you very much indeed to this fella who having owned it direct from it MTL and thank god we have people like him around to aid us fulfill our hobby!!
This is one mega project I've been informed.

Good Luck!!!

Whatever happened to its sisters 7001/2 (orig 1886/7) RKA 886/7T?

Is it true one of them got itself written off for an episode of Heartbeat?
